In this study growth and reproductive biology of endemic new species Acanthobrama thisbeae in Sır Reservoir were investigated. The population composed 80.6% female 19.40 % male individuals. individuals' total lengths (mm) weights (g) varied between 130.4 to 260.5 mm 12.92 203.89 g, respectively. Age groups 2 8 identified the majority sample was 130 180 (80.22%). length-weight relationship for all samples W= 0.0000003*TL3.7265 with b value significantly (p<0.001). mean condition factors 1.011±0.17 (n:263) females males. observations monthly changes, gonadosomatic index (GSI) frequency distribution spawning period determined April June. Mean fecundity 3574 egg/fish on mature individuals periods. addition, A. observed be under pressure exotic such as Liza abu Carassius gibelio.
